View mapA very normal amount of making things
Some people have hobbies. I have a CO₂ laser, a UV printer, a 3D printer, and an increasingly unhealthy relationship with the phrase “I could totally make that.”
I see something interesting and immediately start wondering what would happen if I changed the colors, added a few layers, used a different material, or completely ignored the original plan.
Sometimes I start with an existing design and make it my own. Sometimes I start from scratch, which usually involves questioning my life choices and inventing new swear words.
The results? Everything from intricate layered artwork and meaningful keepsakes to personalized gifts and things that probably shouldn’t be displayed at a family reunion.
Some pieces turn out exactly as planned. Others involve questionable decisions, creative problem-solving, and enough profanity to make a sailor blush.
“Because apparently making things at normal size wasn’t enough. Now I’m making things for houses that don’t even have actual people living in them.”
A few things that made it out of the workshop
Some things are pretty. Some are practical. Some probably shouldn’t be opened in front of Grandma.
Here’s a peek at what happens when I have an idea, a little too much confidence, and absolutely nobody telling me no.
